Nickelback sucks. Even Canada knows.

I really refuse to put up a picture of Nickelback or Chad Kroeger (not to be confused the KROGER, a now seemingly downtrodden grocery store). SO this picture of a nickle and a back will just have to do.

Turns out that even Canada, home of aforementioned band, doesn’t like this so-called band. For those of you in Atlanta, you know we lost the Thrashers to Winnipeg. I guess that’s ok. Well, is it? We lost something to- Canada. Anyways, the NHL want to kick off its season (Will it even start? Aren’t all sport seasons seemingly on strike this year?) with the Winnipeg Whinnies (I don;t know that name nor do I care) vs another hockey team. Now, on this night, they want/have discussed the possibility of having Chad Kroeger et al. get it all kicked off. Not Arcade Fire. Not Fiest. Hell, not even Celine Deion.

The best part is that a real person in Canada wrote a column in the Winnipeg Free Press mocking this decision and actually begging the heads of NHL to reconsider getting Nickelback. You can read more of the article here. And thanks to Stef for showing me.
